Finally, a cloudless, moonless night. but cold, oh my oh my, so cold out there!
snapped off several pic's. Had to fudge around with them to bring them up though, still really dark in original. However, I got stars, and that's what I wanted!! And yes, a bit of town glow in the bottom corner there too.

Well done Jenny you got them stars, it's interesting on those long exposures that even tho it may have been very dark there's still light pollution from somewhere, I was just looking to see if I could recognise any constellations.
I am surprised you actually do get some light pollution.
Great shot though..it looks postcard pretty!
This is looking almost straight at Almonte though, so I do expect that on the horizon. It's magnified because the exposure was 60 seconds long.
Plus it was a cloudy night, so the light only has a short distance to go to reflect.
