CityScape, on the Edge of Night

Took a few minutes out of the night (watching Transformers on Westboro beach Friday night), to scoot out of range and catch a few shots of the city nearby.
Wondering why the light reflection is bent, but its probably due to current bending the light as it moves the water...
Kinda messes a bit with your eyeballs, but I liked it.

Taken at M.O.B July 27/08

The bent light is due to the round shape of your lens.

As you get more wide with your lens, the edges get more round.

This problem becomes even more pronounced on super wide lenses on slr cameras.

Most photo software has an option to correct this.

then why did my winter pic, have straight lines of reflection, not curved???
The one I took of Carleton Place waaaaay back...it's on here.
And why is the only spot that's curved, the water? nothing else does it...
If that's the case, it's still kinda cool...just never seen it before in anything I've taken.

Thanks for looking, and for the info/comment's
